Bill Tobin is a link to the days of football scouting when they had to lug film projectors from college to college, write their reports rather than keyboard them and always carry a measuring tape to mark off 40 yards to time a random prospect in a parking lot or motel hallway.
Tobin started in scouting almost half a century ago with the Green Bay Packers and enjoyed his four years here. Then it was off to Chicago, where during 18 years he is most remembered for building one of the greatest defenses in NFL history.
