On opening day a year ago, the Green Bay Packers turned in one of the most impressive overall defensive efforts in the Mike McCarthy era with a 17-9 victory over the Seattle Seahawks at Lambeau Field.
The three stars of the game all came from the defense. The total footballs for the three defensive positions were 13 of a possible 15. Some that questioned coordinator Dom Capers and his players before the season were reaching for White-Out to update their reports.
