Ron Wolf, ever the pragmatist, occasionally would characterize one of his roster moves by saying, “Well, you have to be able to line up.”
Indeed a team does, especially one such as the current Green Bay Packers that entered the off-season with far too many voids for a 10-man draft class to fill.
While other teams seized the stars of the unrestricted free agent market the Packers took a meat-and-potatoes, albeit expensive approach Tuesday and, on paper at least, filled four holes in their leaky lineup.
