Youthful Matt LaFleur, a small-town Michigan native who worked under outstanding NFL offensive tacticians for almost a decade before spending a disappointing year as first-time play-caller of the Tennessee Titans, is the new coach of the Green Bay Packers.
Reported Monday afternoon by ESPN and NFL Network, the 39-year-old LaFleur was the choice to succeed Mike McCarthy and become the 15th coach in the franchise’s 100-year history.
