No coach of the Minnesota Vikings can survive for long without finding success against the Green Bay Packers, their pre-eminent rival.
Injuries or not, Sunday will be regarded as something of a litmus test for Mike Zimmer when the Vikings (3-2) meet the Packers (4-1) at U.S. Bank Stadium.
Mike McCarthy already has helped usher out two coaches in Minnesota. Now Zimmer, who in his fourth season is 2-4 against the Packers, will be without his top two quarterbacks and dynamic rookie running back because of injury.
