One way or another, the Green Bay Packers will have to remove several promising wide receivers from their 88-man roster to reach the mandatory 53-man limit by Saturday at 3 p.m.
That’s one reason the Packers have been shopping Trevor Davis in the last few days, according to a National Football League source.
Another source said general manager Brian Gutekunst shopped quarterback Brett Hundley for some time. The Oakland Raiders also had interest in Hundley but, in the end, the Packers traded him to the Seattle Seahawks for a sixth-round draft choice.
