Kyle Murphy played just eight snaps in three games as a rookie last season. After starting the season-opener at right tackle, Murphy quickly became the most experienced of the Green Bay Packers’ healthy offensive tackles.
So Sunday night, Murphy was asked to play left tackle against reigning NFC Champion, Atlanta.
Justin McCray’s most extensive action since leaving Central Florida in 2013 came with the Arena Football League’s Orlando Predators. But with the Packers out of options at right tackle, McCray — normally a right guard — slid a few feet to his right.
